The Fender Stratocaster is probably the most iconic guitar ever produced and the Fender Custom Shop '62 NOS Stratocaster is a fitting addition to this legendary line.

The lightweight Alder body is finished in a Lake Placid Blue nitro lacquer, period correct, this finish will wear beautifully with time and develop its own character even further. It also allows the natural resonance of the body to sing and sustain much more effectively compared with other finishes. The NOS finish gives the appearance of a New Old Stock guitar, one that has been perfectly preserved since 1962 and doesn't feature any kind of ageing or relic work.

The rift sawn Maple neck features an AAA grade Rosewood fingerboard and a 9.5" radius for a superb modern playing action without any choking. The fingerboard here is just incredible, it's so dark and vivid, a really great feature. The '59 Esquire C shape and 21 frets (6105 - Tall) offers a really comfortable playing experience, while feeling great underhand.

With a trio of handwound Fender '60s pickups it delivers all the sweeping, versatile tones you would expect from a Strat. Rich and smooth, it's a premium Stratocaster tone.
