The SG Standard ‘61 revives the timeless design that has made it an iconic choice for musicians across generations and genres. When the Les Paul™ model was temporarily discontinued in 1961, it gave rise to the SG™, or "solid guitar," which quickly became a legend in its own right. The Gibson SG Standard '61 stays true to the original, featuring a SlimTaper™ mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard for smooth playability.

The mahogany body showcases deeply sculpted contours, complemented by a 5-ply teardrop pickguard and a 22nd-fret neck joint for easy access to higher notes. Nickel-plated hardware includes the classic Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and Keystone tuners for solid tuning stability and vintage appeal.

Equipped with 60s Burstbucker™ humbuckers, this guitar delivers the rich, powerful tone of the era, enhanced by a bright top end. The controls include audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop® capacitors, ensuring smooth volume and tone adjustments for that signature SG sound.
