If you are viewing this guitar, you know that this is one gorgeous instrument. This guitar is built on the chassis of a Grand Symphony guitar and is the latest version from the workshop of Taylor Guitars' master luthier, Andy Powers featuring V-class bracing and the unique soundport cutaway. V-Class is known to give the guitar more volume and sustain, but also play more in tune. The soundport cutaway is there to disperse the sound of the guitar three-dimensionally throughout the room you are in. It's truly a phenomenon you need to hear! Don't forget that this guitar also has a comfortable 24 7/8" scale length, slightly shorter than the standard scale for Taylor Guitars. The tonewoods feature Tasmanian Blackwood for the top, back and sides. Blackwood, tonally, yields a dry, warm midrange focus with an added splash of top-end shimmer and richness. The custom features a transparent black color coined, Charcoal finish and is accented by bloodwood binding and maple purfling. These two wood materials are intertwined in the rosette and Bouquet inlays to create a visual flair on top of the Charcoal Finish. A few other notable features are maple purfling along the fretboard and Gotoh Antique Gold tuners. The guitar comes equipped with the Expression System 2 and includes TaylorSense as a bonus.
