Circa 74 Limited Release Acoustic Amp

The new Acoustic Amp has been a project of Bob Taylor for many years and it has finally come to life.  A hand-selected team was put together to make this idea into a reality.  This is a two-channel amp that will allow for a guitar/mic or guitar/guitar combination with specific tone control for each channel.  This limited release utilized the cool look of Macassar Ebony to give the body a marbled look that is appealing to the eyes.  This comes with its own stand to set the amp on top of, giving this amp a classy look that begs to be displayed in your music room or on the stage. The design with Bob and his team was to allow access to a wide range of acoustic guitar pickups and playing environments.  They also incorporated a guitar tonewood to give the amp a warm, smooth sonic character to the amplified tone.

Paired with the limited acoustic amp is another gem found at the Custom Catch Guitar event.  The guitar is built on the chassis of the Grand Concert body with cool paring of Indian Rosewood back/sides and a Walnut top.  This is a unique wood combination that gives you the best of what we love about Rosewood back/sides; strong bass response, volume projection, complex overtones, and sustain, and adds the bassy and mid-range warmth of a walnut top.  Taylor masterly matched these tonewoods with a shaded edge burst.  The fretboard inlay, Sea Forest Vine, is only available through the Catch Guitars event and utilizes Italian acrylic and ivoroid materials.  Other special specifications of note are the bone bridge pins that are handmade in Alaska, and TaylorSense-equipped Expressions System 2 (ES2).  

This guitar was purchased at a dealer-only event.  This has been coined as the Taylor Custom Catch Guitar Event.  Every year Taylor Guitars showcases a selection of Custom guitars that feature options you cannot get from their standard custom shop options.  This provides a truly custom experience.  These options include unique tonewoods, inlays, bridge pins, rosette designs, and custom tuning buttons.
