The Taylor Custom Queen's Walnut/Redwood Grand Concert acoustic-electric guitar features a stunning body made of beautiful Queen's walnut, complemented visually and sonically by a sinker redwood top. The slightly smaller Grand Concert body shape yields more controlled overtones, allowing the guitar to be heard more clearly. It particularly suits fingerstyle players, light strummers and flatpickers, as well as playing on a lap or couch. This Custom also features Taylor V-Class bracing, which boosts volume and sustain, and creates purer, more orderly notes.
This guitar's sound is amplified by the Taylor Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics—the heart of which is a patented behind-the-saddle pickup with three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. Because the pickup doesn't sit under the saddle, the bottom of the saddle comes in full contact with the bridge, allowing all the nuance of the guitar's tone to come through clearly, whether playing acoustically or plugged-in. The ES2 operates through a proprietary 9-volt battery compartment and easy-to-use Volume and active Bass and Treble controls. Additional appointments include a tree fingerboard pattern. Comes with a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.
Grand Concert
The smallest of Taylor’s full-size body shapes. Its compact dimensions make for a physically comfortable guitar with an intimate feel and sound. The smaller footprint keeps the overtones in check, contributing to a focused, articulate sound that’s well-suited for recording and stage work.
Sinker Redwood
Tight grain structure and cross-grain stiffness produce a bold and brilliant response with warm overtones. Think cedar on steroids.
Walnut
Walnut’s crisp highs are balanced by a deep, woody low end that emerges as the guitar is played in.

The Expression System® 2 captures more of a guitar’s dynamic properties using a breakthrough behind-the-saddle design.
Venetian Cutaway
