The PRS Santana Retro pays tribute to one of the most influential artist collaborations in electric guitar history. Carlos Santana has been closely associated with PRS since the early days of the company, helping introduce the brand to the world when he began playing a PRS prototype in the early 1980s. His signature models have always reflected his distinctive style — smooth sustain, vocal-like lead tones, and expressive dynamics. The Santana Retro captures that spirit while incorporating modern PRS craftsmanship, giving players access to the same tonal foundation that helped define Santana’s legendary sound.

Built with a maple top over a mahogany body, the Santana Retro offers the classic PRS tonal recipe of warmth, sustain, and articulate clarity. The violin-carved maple top adds snap and harmonic detail, while the mahogany body and neck contribute depth and midrange richness. The 24.5" scale length, slightly shorter than many PRS models, creates a softer string feel that makes bending effortless — perfect for expressive lead playing and fluid phrasing.
