The Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, prized for its exceptional tonal properties and exquisite beauty, lend a warm, resonant character, with an increased bass response, and commanding presence compared to Indian Rosewood. Brazilian Rosewood is very rarely used today, being banned from export by Brazil in 1967, which makes this beauty an exceptional find. Today, Brazilian Rosewood can only be used in production if it was acquired prior to the ban, and has accompanying paperwork. We have hand selected this set of back and sides from the wood library at Martin's factory in Pennsylvania, and have been long waiting it's arrival.
Framed by European Flamed Maple binding, the instrument exudes elegance and sophistication, while Adirondack Spruce bracing, scalloped to perfection, ensures optimal resonance and projection. The bridge, crafted from smooth Black Ebony in the iconic 1930 Style Belly design, enhances both the aesthetics and the tone of the guitar, while white bridge pins adorned with Faux Tortoise accents add a touch of vintage charm.
